How the days are counted
- The count starts from today's date on your device, so it matches the calendar where you are. It counts whole days: a birthday tomorrow is 1 day away.
- The weekday is the day of the week that date falls on in the calendar.
- With a year, the age is the year of the next birthday minus the year they were born.
- A February 29 birthday is counted on February 28 in years without a February 29.

Frequently asked questions
Does the count include today?
No. It counts the days from today to the birthday. A birthday tomorrow is 1 day away, and on the day itself the page says it is today.
What if the birthday is on February 29?
In years without a February 29, the count uses February 28, the last day of February. Some people celebrate on March 1 instead. Greetigo reminders use February 28 too.
Why did the number change at midnight?
The count follows the date on your device, so it goes down by one at midnight where you are, not at midnight in another time zone.
