Privacy Policy
This page explains what GreetIGo collects, how we use it, and the providers involved in delivering reminders, greetings, and contact sync features.

1. Introduction
At GreetIGo ("we," "our," or "us"), we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our application, website, or services (collectively, the "Services"), specifically including our integration with Google APIs.
By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you register, we collect your name, email address, password, and profile photo.
Google User Data (OAuth)
If you choose to sync your Google Contacts, we access the following specific datasets via the Google People API:
- Contacts (Read-Only): To display your contacts and allow you to select who to track events for.
- Birthdays (Read-Only): To automatically import birthday dates for your selected contacts.
We strictly only read this data. We do not modify or delete your Google Contacts.
Event and Communication Data
We store the event details (names, dates, occasions) you track and the preferences for how you want to be notified (Email, Slack, and SMS where available).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following specific purposes:
- Service Provision: To create your dashboard, track events, and send you timely reminders via your chosen channels.
- AI Generation: To draft personalized greeting messages for your events using Artificial Intelligence.
- Google Sync: To populate your GreetIGo calendar with birthdays from your Google Contacts.
4. Google Limited Use Disclosure
GreetIGo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- We do not allow humans to read your Google User Data unless: (a) we have your specific consent for specific messages; (b) it is necessary for security purposes; (c) it is necessary to comply with applicable laws; or (d) for internal use where the data is aggregated and anonymized.
- We do not use Google User Data for advertising purposes.
- We do not sell your Google User Data.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We share data only with the essential service providers required to run our app:
- Firebase (Google): For secure database hosting, authentication, and core application infrastructure.
- Stripe: For secure payment processing and subscription billing (we never see your full credit card number).
- SendGrid: To deliver verification emails, reminder emails, and direct greeting emails.
- Twilio: To support SMS reminder delivery where user settings and carrier support allow it. We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
- Slack: To deliver notifications to your Slack workspace (if connected).
- Sentry: To monitor production errors and reliability issues.
- DeepSeek: To generate AI greeting suggestions. Only event context needed to generate a message is sent through this workflow, and we do not use your personal contact data for model training.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data only as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data permanently at any time via the user dashboard settings page. Upon deletion request, all data including synced contacts is removed from our servers immediately.
